U.S. billionaire Ilon Musk said in an interview with CNBC television network that he would like to see a “normal person” as president of the United States when asked if he regretted that he voted for incumbent Joe Biden.
“I would like to see a normal person as president. There is an old saying that we would rather be governed by people who were randomly recruited from the phone book than by Harvard graduates,” the entrepreneur expressed his point of view.
Speaking about the qualities required of a president of the United States, Musk used the analogy of a business corporation, pointing out that the head of state is in fact the chief executive of the country, and therefore it is of particular importance whether that chief executive is good or not.
“The president is in fact the chief executive of the country. It is very important whether it is a good director. It’s not just about whether he shares your views, it’s also about how well he handles different things. There are a lot of decisions to be made every day. I want the chief executive of America to be good, efficient,” Musk noted.
