German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said that he is against settling the Ukrainian conflict on Russia’s terms.
According to TASS, the politician said this during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Scholz pointed to the need to talk everywhere about Kiev’s alleged readiness for negotiations.
“But it (Ukraine. – RT) rightfully and with our full support demands that this should not mean simply freezing (the conflict. – RT) and that Russia will dictate terms,” he stressed.
Earlier, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said that Italy was ready to consider settling the conflict in Ukraine only on the basis of Zelenskyy’s “ten points”.
