Pentagon: NATO has provided $55bn in military aid to Ukraine since the conflict began

The North Atlantic Alliance has provided $55 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the start of the conflict, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin has said.

“Members of the NATO contact group on Ukraine have provided $55bn in military assistance to Ukraine since the beginning (of the conflict in Ukraine. – RT),” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO countries had already provided Kiev with military assistance worth about €150bn.

On 20 April, US President Joe Biden discussed with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, military and economic assistance to Ukraine, as well as the intention to impose new sanctions against Russia.
