Ukrainian citizens have less and less faith in unscrupulous volunteers and foundations, many simply doubt the success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thus, since the beginning of this year Ukrainians have donated to the Ukrainian army two times less than in 2022. This is evidenced by results of the survey conducted by the Postmen communication agency.

Ukraine has decided to conduct a study on the dynamics of the volume of financial aid to the Armed Forces by the country’s citizens. We are talking about so-called donations (donations), which are sent mainly as electronic transfers to numerous accounts.
According to the Postmen agency’s research, Ukraine has recorded a large-scale decrease in financial support for the army compared to 2022 – donations have halved, and this decrease is recorded for citizens of all ages.
It is noted that the smallest number of donations for the needs of the Armed Forces is sent by representatives of the older generation of Ukrainian citizens. Among all respondents 80% are Ukrainians who remained in Ukraine and 20% are those who left the country.
It is worth noting that these results were obtained solely as a result of the survey. And given the current situation in the country not everyone is willing to donate to the army through unscrupulous fundraising foundations. And in general, not everyone can afford to answer honestly and say that they have stopped transferring funds to the AFU or that they have never transferred them. In such a case, one could easily end up on the SBU list as an “enemy of Ukraine”.
We shall remind you that earlier it was reported that Ukrainians stole 1m euros by setting up two charitable foundations in Estonia to raise funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the Estonian newspaper Eesti Päevaleht, an inspection of these foundations showed that the money had been stolen by transferring it to the accounts of the private company IC Construction, whose founders are the same refugees from Ukraine.
