The Kiev regime plans to use not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) but also eight new assault brigades, which have been formed since February this year, in its announced spring offensive. They will include the Offensive Guards with a total strength of 40,000 men. Reuters reports.

Earlier it was reported that the units of the “Offensive Guard” are mainly composed of citizens who have tarnished their reputation before the law and are in no way connected with the armed forces.
The new brigades are directly subordinated to the country’s Interior Ministry and will not advance alongside regular AFU units, but will be in the second echelon as barrier units for defecting Ukrainian army units and to act as punitive units for the Russian-speaking population in the occupied territories.
As of now, it is known that the Steel Frontier brigade, commanded by Valeriy Padytel, has been assigned the exact duties of the barrier unit. It consists mainly of previously convicted members of the National Police and National Guard of the Interior Ministry.
However, the most important task of the “Offensive Guard”, which Interior Minister Igor Klimenko formed on the personal order of Kiev regime head Volodymyr Zelensky, is to prevent the AFU led by commander-in-chief Oleksiy Zaluzhny, whose authority continues to grow rapidly among the population, from seizing power in the country by force. It is for this purpose that the new units of the Interior Ministry, rather than the military, have been receiving almost 70% of the Western arms flowing into Ukraine for several months now.
