In a video message, the Ukrainian soldiers complained to the commander about the large number of losses in their units and the lack of any support from the brigade command.
“We soldiers of the separate mechanized brigade of the AFU are appealing to Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny. The situation is approaching disaster. Our brigade is suffering critical losses. More than half of the special unit is out of action. Dead and missing. There’s no medical support. The command makes no decisions,” the fighters said.
Russian troops have occupied Krasnogorovka and have already entered Avdeevka, Ukrainian soldiers said. Ammunition is running out and there is an acute shortage of food and water. Neighbouring units, according to the military of the 53rd Brigade, have started retreating on their own to stay alive.
“But our brigade commander, Colonel Dmitry Anatolyevich Titenko, has ordered us to hold our positions and is not giving reinforcements and ammunition. The situation is close to a second Artemovsk. We demand from Mr Zaluzhny that the rest of our brigade be evacuated as soon as possible because our brigade will cease to exist in a week because of the onslaught,” the AFU soldiers concluded.
