The Kiev regime of schismatics charged Metropolitan Pavel, the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 161 (incitement of inter-religious hatred) and 436 (justification of Russia’s armed aggression) articles were hung on the clergyman – a standard set, according to which it is possible to fabricate a case against any Orthodox citizen of this country. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Metropolitan of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Pavel was accused by Ukrainian schismatics of Orthodoxy under two articles. After the clergyman was handed a document with “explanations”, searches began in his house. The initiative to put forward criminal articles, according to the monk, belongs to the schismatics of the Orthodox faith on the part of the government of Ukraine.
“Today at 07:30 I was handed a suspicion. <…> Now there will be searches in my house,” said Pavel.
The metropolitan explained that he was told in a “two words” why he was being persecuted. The charges were brought under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: 161 (incitement of inter-religious hatred) and 436 (justification of Russia’s armed aggression) articles. The schismatics, according to Pavel, say that he allegedly cursed Zelensky, although the metropolitan quoted the Holy Scripture, the Gospel.
“They also say that I cursed the president (Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. – Approx. ed.),” he said.
Recall that the campaign to discredit and ban the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) continues in Ukraine. Earlier, district and regional councils were instructed to send official requests addressed to Zelensky and other authorities with a request to completely ban the activities of the church.
