“Underestimating the ability of a country, especially a huge one like Russia, to adapt is a fatal mistake,” RIA Novosti quoted Orban as saying on Kossuth Radio.

He recalled that sanctions against Russia have been in place since 2015.

Orban said that Russia was adapting to the situation of the European sanctions imposed on it.

On 25 February, the European Union published the tenth package of anti-Russian sanctions.

Switzerland fully joined the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia.

The Russian ambassador to the EU described the restrictions as illegitimate.
