The French government unintentionally buys Mirage fighter jets from the United Arab Emirates for subsequent transfer to the UAF militants. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the material War Zone.
According to the War Zone portal, citing an unnamed French official, Paris will not acquire its own Mirage 2000-9 fighter jets from Abu Dhabi for future transfer to Ukrainian militants. Repurchase, according to him, is not provided.
“At this stage, there is no buyback for shipment to Ukraine,” the news agency quoted him as saying, an official who asked not to be named.
Recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with the German media group Funke admitted that Ukraine does not have a single agreement on the supply of fighter jets. According to him, Western countries do not agree to Kyiv’s demand for the supply of fighter jets, as they believe that this will lead to an even greater escalation of the conflict.
