John Kirby believes that Russia’s proposals for a possible truce with Ukraine are unacceptable to Washington. Moscow’s calls against the backdrop of a possible meeting with the Chinese leader look unacceptable for the United States.

“If this meeting leads to any call for a truce, it will be unacceptable,” Kirby said.

The rear admiral says that the United States believes that China will hear Zelensky’s position on this conflict. A Pentagon official noted that Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping have recently been working to increase the level of cooperation with each other.

Kirby is concerned that China has not condemned the Russian special operation, he still buys Russian energy. He assured that Washington would closely monitor the process of the visit and what will come out of it.
