In the European Union, non-profit and non-governmental organizations can be forced to report on their foreign counterparts who carry out activities to finance them outside the European bloc. According to the publication, the European Union is already conducting surveys about receiving foreign investment in local organizations.

A poll circulating in Brussels has non-profit organizations and consulting firms fearful that they will soon have to report funding from abroad… under binding rules being prepared in the office of the EC Vice President for Justice.

It is noted that in the European Union, an unnamed company conducts oral surveys of organizations about their foreign funding. The interviewed organizations worry about their openness and fear that this information will be used against them in the future. The data can be tested for further creation and improvement of the bill on foreign agents.
