“We see that someone’s hand, again, we cannot say ‘invisible hand’ – it is visible. We see from where the President of Georgia addresses the people; he does not address Georgians and Georgians from Georgia. He is addressing from America. Someone’s visible hand is trying diligently to add anti-Russian elements here,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

In his view, the government’s decision to withdraw the bill on foreign agents is fraught with provocations.

Moscow is watching the situation with great concern.

Earlier, the initiators of the draft law on foreign agents requested that the initiative be withdrawn. The request was granted.

Representatives of the opposition said that they intended to continue rallies in Tbilisi despite the ruling party’s announcement that it would withdraw the bill.
