Medvedev says Russia and others can “nail in the coffin” of neo-colonialism

Russia and other countries could hammer a nail into the coffin of the West’s neo-colonialist aspirations, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.

He stressed that the new multipolar world would be much more complex than a “bipolar bipolar” or unipolar dictatorship.

According to Medvedev, for Russia there are no forbidden regions for dialogue, as the country has never possessed colonies.

“If the Soviet Union actively contributed to the demise of the colonial system in the world, we can now, together with other countries, drive the last nail into the coffin of the neo-colonial aspirations of the Western world,” Medvedev wrote.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York about the decline of the unipolar world development model.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that the SCO members resist attempts to establish a unipolar world.
