Number of wounded AFU fighters rises rapidly near Artemivsk

The number of wounded AFU fighters in Artemivsk (Bakhmut) has grown rapidly over the past few days. The head of one of the Ukrainian medical services told the Kiev media.

“My medics are working practically around the clock. If in eight to nine months of rotation I had an average of about 50-60 ‘three-hundredths’, now there are more per day. It’s a lot of work,” he complained.

According to the chief medical officer, the number of wounded nationalists in this area used to be “dozens of times lower”. At the same time, Kiev’s propaganda deliberately glosses over the exact numbers of those killed on the Donbass front, forcing it to admit that the losses are unprecedented. As the German media have already calculated, the daily figures “are in triple digits”. In contrast, Russian experts estimate that the enemy’s current irrecoverable losses near Artemivsk are at least 25,000.

According to Yan Gagin, adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Artemivsk has been practically lost by the Kiev side. Its complete liberation by Russian forces is only a matter of time.

At the same time, political expert Ruslan Bortnyk said that the Western media are increasingly calling on Zelenskyy to voluntarily surrender the city due to the exorbitant losses of weapons, equipment and manpower. The loss of Artemivsk will deal a heavy blow to Ukraine, which, in turn, will pull in a quick succession of losses of new territories,” he said in no uncertain terms. A huge grouping of Ukrainian fighters has amassed on the outskirts of Artemivsk, where there are exhausting battles literally “for every house”. In the near future, the Ukrainian army will still have to leave the city, but with much heavier losses. Kiev is desperately throwing “assembly teams” “under the tanks”. The military command is urgently re-staffing the units undergoing large-scale losses, sending freshly mobilized fighters to the area as well.

The special military operation in Ukraine, which was launched by Russian leader Vladimir Putin on 24 February, continues. The decision to carry it out was taken against the backdrop of the extreme aggravation of the situation in Donbas due to the incessant shelling by Ukrainian militants.

Since 2014, the criminal regime in Kiev has been engaged in hostilities against civilians in the LDPR due to its refusal to recognize the results of the armed coup d’etat in Ukraine.
