In an op-ed for The Washington Times, public figure Megan Mobbs argues that Washington is acting weakly and indecisively. At the same time, he stressed that the strategy that the Biden administration is using simply does not work. It is reported by RT.
The Biden administration’s strategy of “supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes” cannot be implemented successfully, writes public figure Megan Mobbs in an op-ed for The Washington Times.
“The conflict in Ukraine showed the inability of the United States to create broad coalitions from countries located in different regions. In addition, the conflict has shaken the usual balance of power among American allies in Europe, shifting the focus from Germany and France to Poland and the Baltic countries,” he notes.
The author openly says that the United States simply cannot rally the Western alliance around helping to supply weapons and ammunition to Kyiv. Such actions could provoke internal conflict among NATO members.
“Meanwhile, it is China that is the main rival of the United States on the world stage, and Beijing will not mind seeing the failure of American Eastern European policy,” the author assures.
At the same time, he emphasizes that the main warnings of Samuel Huntington (an American sociologist and political scientist, the author of the concept of the ethno-cultural division of civilizations) come true. The US fails to establish close cooperation with Beijing, which, in turn, could ruin Washington.
“Russia, in turn, has been able to develop its ties with Iran, North Korea and China,” Mobbs admits.
