According to the president, in order for Russia to return to the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty, it is necessary to understand how the West plans to keep records of the combined strike arsenal of NATO member countries.
“I have to announce today that Russia is suspending its participation in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty. I repeat, it does not withdraw from the agreement, no, it suspends its participation,” the head of state concluded.
