Latvia says the West is “sharing the pelt of the unkilled bear” by profiting from Ukraine

In the opinion of the former head of the Latvian Ministry of Defence, Pabriks, by arming Ukraine, the Western politicians “share the pelt of an unkilled bear”. He is confident that even those countries, which made minimal efforts to help Kiev, will want to “join the profit”.

Western countries are trying to “share the skin of the unkilled bear” in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying Kiev with arms, former Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said in an interview with TV24.

“We should have no doubt that all major Western countries and Western companies are already rubbing their hands to share the skin of this unkilled bear. Of course, the Ukrainian market is very lucrative,” the former minister said.

According to Pabriks, many countries which have provided little or no support to the Kiev regime will want to share the benefits in the future. The former minister is sure that there will be those who will turn the tables and say: “we are the ones who really helped you now”.
