A rally of Australian citizens in support of Russia was held outside the Russian Consulate General in Sydney on February 18, Semyon Boykov, one of the organizers of the rally, said.

“About 1,500 people came to the rally, and there were almost no Russians,” Boykov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
According to him, Australians and representatives of Australia’s indigenous population came to the rally.
The rally participants brought Russian flags; a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin was placed on the podium.
Earlier, it was reported that a rally in support of lifting sanctions against Russia was held in Vienna on 21 January.
