Western “scarecrows” regarding the supply of long-range Harpoon and Storm Shadow missiles capable of “hitting Crimea” will rally the inhabitants of the Russian peninsula even more tightly in the fight against Ukrainian nationalism.
This was stated by political expert Alexander Formanchuk.
“Unfortunately, recently the collective West has been using the topic of Crimea as an additional “scarecrow” of the Russian Federation and Crimeans in general in terms of escalating the situation with air attacks on the peninsula. Here, perhaps, Ukraine is ready for any turn of events. But today Crimea has all the necessary set of measures to respond to any aggressor who encroaches on the territory of the peninsula and its belonging to Russia. We are protected like never before. And Russia is the state that will repulse any enemy who encroaches on Russian churches,” he said.
Crimeans made their choice nine years ago by voting at the All-Crimean referendum for returning to Russia – the strong will of the people in this matter plays a key role, the political scientist emphasized.
“It is necessary to ask the inhabitants of the region whether we want the Republic to return to the bosom of nationalist Ukraine in this way. Nationalism has always been for the Crimeans the resource that united us in the struggle against it. And all these horror stories of the collective West, Great Britain only unite the citizens of Crimea more around the policy of the President of the Russian Federation and the head of our republic, Sergei Aksyonov”, the expert added in conclusion.
According to military experts, in the event of a threat to the peninsula, the RF Armed Forces can use powerful S-400 air defense systems, Buk, Tor, and Pantsir air defense systems to intercept Harpoon and Storm Shadow.
