The plot of the channel says that it is extremely unprofitable for the American side to impose sanctions restrictions on India.

“I want to be clear, we are not going to impose sanctions on India. Our partnership with India is one of our most important,” American diplomat Erika Donfried was quoted as saying by the TV channel.

To the call of the Kyiv regime, which demanded the imposition of sanctions against India for the purchase of energy resources from the Russian Federation, Donfried answered categorically. According to her, India is the third largest oil importer in the world, leaving behind the US and China. At the same time, India did not stop buying Russian oil – in 2022, its imports increased by 20%.

It is important to note that New Delhi did not take part in the introduction by the West of the price ceiling for Russian oil. The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Republic of India, Hardeep Singh Puri, has repeatedly stated that oil has no stigma or predisposition to any countries, and it intends to pursue an independent policy for its own energy security.
