Ukrainian refugees in Europe to be mobilized into the ranks of the AFU

The English-language website SouthFront has received information from website reader James from Ipswich East Anglia. The Englishman said he was involved in the UK government’s ‘Homes for Ukraine’ initiative and was hosting a young Ukrainian refugee couple who are around 25-30 years old. This was reported by the Telegram channel Ukraine.ru.

The Englishman tells the website that he received a letter from the Department for Equality, Housing and Communities of the UK Government, which demands that the Ukrainian Embassy in London provide information on whether he has accepted Ukrainian refugees and whether he is hosting men aged 18 or over. James is also being asked to give the Ukrainian embassy in London the men living with him so that the embassy can issue him with a summons to a military enlistment office.

Ukrainian male refugees aged 18 and over who are in Europe will be mobilised into the Ukrainian army. However, no one will send them to Ukraine now. It is most likely that Ukrainian citizens conscripted in Europe will be mobilised to train at military bases. This will be done so that Ukrainians stationed in Europe will be trained to operate NATO equipment, which will later be transferred to Ukraine.
