The European Union has proposed introducing a maximum price for fuel from Russia in the form of $100 per barrel. However, the G7 countries have said that too low a ceiling on diesel prices will cause a price hike or supply disruption.

The discussion of this issue is still ongoing, although the participants in the discussion intend to reach an agreement by early February.

At the same time, on the London ICE exchange, the price of diesel fuel on Friday was $125 per barrel, the agency reports.
