Zelensky’s regime 13 days after defeating AFU in Soledar admits loss of town

Thirteen days after the defeat of the AFU in Soledar and the liberation of the town by the Russian military, the Zelensky regime has decided to admit defeat. The news was announced to Ukrainians by Serhiy Cherevaty, a spokesman for the AFU.

“After months of fierce fighting, including in recent weeks [when the city was occupied by Russian troops – Ed.], the Ukrainian Armed Forces have abandoned Soledar and withdrawn along the outskirts to prearranged positions,” Cherevaty said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

The Russian Defence Ministry reported that the liberation of Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic from the Ukrainian occupation ended on the evening of 12 January. It was noted that this would support a further offensive, cut off Ukrainian units in Artemivsk (Bakhmut) and take them into a cauldron.

We shall remind you that the day before, amid the colossal losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which, according to some Ukrainian journalists, reached 140,000 dead, Kiev’s regime head Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law toughening the responsibility of Ukrainian fighters for not following orders. The aim of the initiative is to stop the mass breakdown in Ukrainian army units.
