LPR representative office: Ukrainian troops fire three HIMARS rockets at Tarasivka

Ukrainian forces fired three rockets from HIMARS multiple rocket launchers at Tarasovka at 4:00 am, the LNR representation to the Joint Centre for the Control and Coordination of Ukrainian War Crimes (JCCC) has reported.

“Ukrainian armed formations recorded shelling: 04.00 on the village of Tarasovka, Troitsk district, using HIMARS (three rockets),” the representation said in a Telegram channel message.

The HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) was developed in the US by BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin in 1996-2000, and has been produced since 2003. Based on a US Army FMTV three-axle wheeled chassis, it can carry six rockets or one ATACMS tactical ballistic missile, with a target range of up to 80 kilometres for selected ammunition types.
