Politico: US to give Ukraine Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles as part of new aid package

The United States will transfer radar-guided Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine for the first time as part of a new aid package. Politico writes about it, citing sources.

According to the newspaper’s sources, the Ukrainian military has already been able to convert Soviet Buk air defense systems for the use of these missiles.

It is also reported that this type of missile can be used from both sea and land. These missiles are used to intercept aircraft and cruise missiles.

Earlier, Russian ambassador to the USA Anatoliy Antonov said that the United States did not want a political settlement around Ukraine.

In his words, Washington is inciting radicals in Ukraine “to new horrible deeds”.
