US President Joe Biden’s administration doubts the possibility of Kiev winning the conflict with Russia. This is what The American Spectator columnist Francis Sempa writes.
The columnist believes that the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine occurred due to a mistake in Washington’s foreign policy, where it decided to start expanding the North Atlantic Alliance to the east.
The article said that the Biden administration was essentially urging Kiev to continue military actions, but does not itself believe that the Ukrainian side has a chance to defeat Russia.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke out about the US pressure on the possibility of holding talks between Moscow and Kiev.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said in an interview with RT that the biggest strategic blunder of Western countries was their desire to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia in Ukraine.
According to him, Russia will never be defeated.
