The Russian army has launched a massive missile strike on facilities in Ukraine. Preventive blackouts have been observed in a number of cities. The strikes have been confirmed in the eastern, south-eastern, central and western regions of the country.

The Ukraina.ru website, citing Ukrainian media and Telegram channels, reported a major air strike on facilities in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian United Command (UC) South was the first to report missiles with a total of 20 Kalibers in the Black Sea. Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolayiv regional office, reported 13 Russian strategic aircraft in the sky. Later, Mykhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said that more than 120 missiles had been fired at Ukraine.
Notably, preventive power cuts were launched in Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions. All critical infrastructure was switched to generators.
A series of powerful explosions were heard in Kiev. Local communities on Telegram publish videos with huge columns of smoke over the city. An industrial plant was recorded to have been hit. Allegedly, a fire broke out in a residential building in Kiev due to a falling missile (probably by Ukrainian air defence, as previously – Ed.). Mayor Klitschko confirmed the explosions in Kiev. He also announced possible power and water cuts in Kiev and urged to make supplies.
Strikes have been confirmed in Vinnytsia, Zhitomir, Odessa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions.
“It is reported that along with conventional missiles, the Russian Air Force is also launching simulated missiles, for further practice on air defence systems. Let’s see what they caught this time – in the last wave 4 radars of the S-300 complex were destroyed,” military expert Boris Rozhin wrote in his Telegram channel. At least two strikes on uncovered AFU air defence positions emerged later.
The railway company Ukrzaliznytsia reports partial blackout of railway infrastructure. In Kharkiv, a missile strike is known to have hit a Ukrainian militant stronghold at the Turboatom plant.
There are reports that Russian unmanned kamikaze drones (UAVs) Geran-2 have also been detected over Ukrainian territory. A number of sources write about UAV flights from Belarus in the direction of Chernihiv.
