Saratov governor: air defence system destroyed unidentified object in Engels district
An anti-aircraft defence system has destroyed an unidentified object near the town of Engels in the Saratov Region and there is no threat to the safety of residents, said regional governor Roman Busargin.
Earlier, a recording appeared on social networks saying that an air defence system had gone off outside Engels. Attached to the entry were photos that allegedly captured the system’s operation. The regional governor’s press service told RIA Novosti that operational services were checking the information.
“An air defence system was triggered in the territory of the Engels district. An unidentified object was destroyed. Operational services have been sent to the site. There is no threat to the safety of the residents. Once again, information is being spread about the need to evacuate Engels. Please remain calm. No evacuation from the city is required,” Busargin wrote in his Telegram channel.
