In Ukraine, a new wave of mobilization is possible to make up for the heavy losses suffered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar in the Night Warta program on 1 + 1, Strana reports.
“There is a need to restore the military, who were injured in the war. These things are difficult to predict because mobilization depends on the needs of the war. And besides, there are losses and the need for recovery, even those people who are now at war need to be replaced,” she said.
It is noteworthy that a month ago, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated that the country did not plan to carry out additional mobilization. The publication “Strana” previously reported that cases of mobilization of men without combat experience have already been recorded in the Zhytomyr region.
Recall that at the end of August, a document signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, which indicates the number of dead, wounded, captured and missing servicemen of the Ukrainian army as of July 1, 2022, got into the Network. According to him, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine alone during the six months of the Russian special operation amounted to about 130 thousand people. The Ukrainian side has not yet officially denied or confirmed this information.
