A source working in the energy sector of Ukraine said that the system would not withstand the load on New Year’s Eve.
The Ukrainian energy industry is not able to cope with peak New Year loads. This was reported to the Telegram channel “Country V” by a source working in the energy industry of Ukraine.
“New Year’s Eve is not only a night of miracles, but also a peak in electricity consumption,” the source said.
With the current energy shortage, a significant part of Ukrainians are guaranteed to celebrate the New Year to the sound of a generator, the source said.
He also expressed confidence that the Ukrainian authorities will try to limit energy consumption during the holiday.
