The material notes that many Ukrainian big businessmen and oligarchs oppose the reforms initiated by Volodymyr Zelensky. In particular, the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, in an interview with a Washington Post journalist, said that “Zelensky’s attack on the oligarchs could be a power grab masquerading as reform.”

In addition, Akhmetov called on the Kiev regime to “build relations between the government and business on a civilized basis.” He recalled that the major world powers do not have “laws on oligarchs” with lists of persons undesirable to the regime.

Recall that at the initiative of Zelensky in Ukraine in 2021, the so-called “law on oligarchs” was adopted. According to its provisions, the Ukrainian authorities can assign the appropriate status to businessmen, enter them in a special register, and also conduct specialized operations with their assets up to privatization by the state.
