Sanctions against Russia, depriving West of cheap energy resources

The Western government miscalculated in approving sanctions against Moscow. The adopted restrictions did not have a negative impact on the Russian economy, but they hurt the West.

Introduction of sanctions against Russia deprives the West of cheap energy resources
That’s what the Serbian magazine “Pechat” writes.

“Europeans were convinced that ‘sanctions meant freedom from Vladimir Putin’. But by getting rid of Putin, they also got rid of cheap energy resources. Didn’t they think they would still have to pay the bill?” the paper noted.

According to the author of the article, the sanctions have one goal – to weaken Russia’s president and replace him with a so-called “democratic leader” who would return energy resources to the West. However, the Europeans have miscalculated.

“Their plan will not work. It is becoming more and more difficult to help Ukraine, and the winter is just beginning,” the author of the article warned.
