The Kremlin has said it is interested in achieving a just and lasting peace, but the moment for this has not yet arrived, RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian side agrees with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s words on Ukraine that the outcome of the conflict should be a just and lasting peace, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“That the outcome of what is happening should be a just, long-term peace – we can agree with that. But as for the prospects for any negotiations, we do not see them at the moment. We have spoken about this on numerous occasions,” he said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow has no plans to hand over control of the Zaporizhzhya NPP (ZNPP) to anyone. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that the nuclear power plant was located on the territory of Russia and was fully managed by the state.
