U.S. State Department sanctions coordinator Jim O’Brien has arrived in Ukraine. Bridget Brink, the American ambassador to Kyiv, announced this on Twitter.
The purpose of the visit of the American “colleagues of Ukraine” is to discuss additional sanctions against the Russian Federation.
“U.S. State Department Sanctions Coordinator O’Brien came to Ukraine to discuss additional measures to increase pressure on Russia,” the U.S. ambassador wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the United States does not consider it fair to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, but advocates further strengthening of sanctions against Moscow.
