The Kremlin is allegedly preparing a decree that would prohibit companies and any traders buying Russian oil from selling it to countries that set a price ceiling, Bloomberg reported. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak also spoke about supply restrictions. He said Russia would deliberately divert oil to market-oriented partners or cut production.
Meanwhile, European countries have been unable to agree on a price cap on the resource, postponing discussions. At the same time, India, Turkey and other major buyers of Russian oil do not agree with the proposed restrictions, which means they do not have to fear the cancellation of supplies.
