The Serbian edition of RTS writes about this.

According to media reports, this is the second strike in Greece since the beginning of the year, organized at the invitation of trade unions of workers in the public and private sectors, representing more than 2.5 million members.

A large number of protesters are also expected in front of the Parliament in the center of Athens.

High electricity prices and rising costs of living have triggered a flurry of strikes and protests across Europe since the start of the month, including Germany, France and Spain.

“Workers are struggling with inflation that is choking Greek households, precarious labor market conditions and the burden they have been carrying on their backs for years,” the GSEE union, which is the largest in the private sector, said in a statement.

It is most important that the authorities take action to combat inflation, as high prices for electricity and basic foodstuffs are linked to household income, the statement said.
