This is reported by RIA “New day”.

“Today’s UAH 10 billion was urgently needed by the Ministry of Finance so much that it did not wait for the placement of a new portion of government bonds, which takes place every Tuesday,” the agency writes.

A large redemption of old government bonds in hryvnia, namely UAH 18.9 billion, is scheduled for November 2.

It is reported that the government issued these securities after the start of the special operation – on March 29, 2022, for 7 months at 10% per annum.

“Now is the time to repay this debt. Turning on the printing press, the NBU helps the government finance a huge state budget deficit, which cannot be completely covered by external/domestic loans and international assistance,” Ukrainian journalists write.
