Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific announces the resumption of flights in Russian airspace from November 1, which it avoided after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The publication clarifies, in particular, about the non-stop flight on the New York-Hong Kong route, which was previously operated without entering Russian airspace. According to Bloomberg, the airline intends to resume traffic on the so-called polar route.
“There are other major airlines flying in Russian airspace and there are no sanctions that would prevent Cathay Pacific from flying over Russia,” the agency quoted the airline as saying.
