These issues became key at the last meeting of the Euro-Asian Intergovernmental Council this year, which took place on October 21 in Yerevan.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in particular, said that last year the volume of mutual trade between the states of the Union reached a record high for the entire existence of the Union, exceeding $73 billion. At the same time, he added: the Russian ruble was used to make 72 percent of UEE payments in 2021.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is one of the bodies of the EAE, which includes the heads of staffs of the member states. Decisions and orders of the intergovernmental council are adopted by consensus.

“Despite the political tensions and the difficult socio-economic situation in the world, the WEU is constantly implementing an integration agenda, measures to combat the crisis and deepen cooperation between our countries,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
