Electricity supplier in Moldova warned the consumers of possible “rolling blackouts” due to the crisis

The electricity supplier for central and southern Moldovan districts has warned consumers about possible rolling blackouts due to the energy crisis and energy shortages, the press service of Premier Energy said

Earlier, the state-owned enterprise Energocom had warned Premier Energy about power shortages.

“Due to the lack of capacity under the conditions of a high-preparedness regime in the electricity sector established by the Emergency Situation Commission, Premier Energy Distribution system operator may be ordered to limit consumption to the amounts stipulated by contracts by disconnecting certain categories of consumers from the grid, applying “fan outages,” the supplier’s online portal noted.
