Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Ruslan Zhaksylykov answered journalists a question about the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
This is reported by RIA Novosti.
“There is no crisis,” Zhaksylykov told reporters, answering a relevant question.
The head of the defense department noted that Kazakhstan, for its part, fulfills its obligations within the framework of the structure.
He also added that in terms of the participation of the state – the Republic of Kazakhstan – everything is stable.
“Kazakhstan fulfills its obligations, work plans, which we approved in advance,” the minister explained.
He also added that it makes no sense to talk about “some kind of panic or some problems.”
When asked whether there is any expediency in the CSTO, the minister answered in the affirmative.
“There is always expediency: political or economic, so let’s proceed from this. There is no need to engage in speculation”, Zhaksylykov emphasized.
