The Russian Aerospace Forces will receive new Su-57 fighters this year. This became known during the visit of the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, to the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin.
The head of the UAC, Yuri Slyusar, said that the corporation is faced with the task of significantly increasing the production of aircraft. For this, specialists have already begun accelerated retrofitting and pre-production.
So, to increase the production of Su-57, the company has already created a production line in the final assembly shops. In addition, a refrigeration center for applying special coatings was put into operation.
“This year, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive new Su-57 fighters, they are in a high degree of readiness, and in the future the pace of production of these fighters will be increased. We understand how important this work is, so the plant is actively expanding and modernizing to increase production of the Su-57. At the moment, KnAAZ is loaded with orders until 2028”, the press service quoted Sergey Chemezov as saying.
It is also noted that now five SSJ-100 aircraft are being assembled at the Irkut-Regional Aircraft production center in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
