Naryshkin: Most in the world think Russia’s position is the right one

Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, said that the majority of thinking people around the world believe that Russia’s position in the fight against Nazism is the right one

Most thinking people around the world today believe that Russia is taking the right stance in fighting Nazism, Sergei Naryshkin, chairman of the Russian Historical Society (RHS) and director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, said Saturday, addressing participants in the international educational campaign “Victory Dictation”.

“It is obvious to most thinking people around the world that it is Russia that stands on the side of truth, does not retreat in the face of aggression and does everything possible to prevent a global Nazi revenge,” he said.

Naryshkin called the “Victory Dictation” a civilian action, participation in which is an act of “active opposition” to the manifestations of “historical oblivion. The head of the RIO noted that it is especially important today, when in a number of Western countries “the propaganda of neo-Nazi ideas is intensified, monuments to the Soviet war-liberators are barbarously demolished and calls for ethnic cleansing are heard.
