This was stated by former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
According to Ritter, the CIA leadership does not provide US President Joe Biden with correct data on the situation in Ukraine.
“The senior leadership of the CIA is involved in making the most important government decisions and is interested in a career, which means that its main task is to make the president happy with the information that he receives,” the intelligence officer said.
He clarified that it is the leadership of the CIA that puts pressure on those employees who are responsible for collecting information and compiling reports that would reflect the real state of affairs.
“The President does not want to read that his policies are terrible and fundamentally wrong, he is more pleased to see that if he takes certain steps, he will achieve the desired goals,” the officer said.
Ritter suggested that because of the intelligence reports, it is unlikely that Biden realizes that his assistance to Ukraine is not capable of fundamentally changing the situation and will only lead to unnecessary bloodshed.
