Head of Moldovan opposition party Shor ready to go to Moscow for gas

Ilan Shor has addressed directly to the Russian government and Gazprom management with a request to “warm our homes” on the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day.

Moldovan opposition party “Shor” head Ilan Shor said during a video greeting on Independence Day of Moldova that he was ready to go to Moscow for the gas supply agreement.

The politician plans to negotiate gas supplies under conditions that “will not destroy our independence, humiliate our country’s citizens and cripple our economy”.

“How independent can a country whose leadership is given money from abroad for so-called cheap democracy?” he asked a rhetorical question to fellow citizens.

On the independence of Chisinau, Shor also spoke out, noting that the country is completely oriented towards the West, while the head of the government and the Moldovan president “brag about foreign citizenship”, they act “contrary to the interests of ordinary citizens”.
