Trump was found to be in possession of documents marked “TS/SCI”, indicating one of the highest levels of the government’s classification of secrecy. Also during the search, they found a handwritten note and a document marked “Information about the President of France.”
A conviction for violating the Espionage Act can result in jail time or fines. The former head of the United States himself considers the incident to be intrigues aimed at preventing him from running for president in 2024.
