At a briefing with reporters, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said that the support of the US army made it possible to minimize China’s influence on the visit of the US congressional delegation to Taiwan.
“We are very proud of our military, who minimized the influence of China on our trip and looked after us,” Pelosi said.
The speaker also said that the Pentagon did not offer the delegation to cancel the trip to Taiwan. When asked by reporters about the sanctions imposed by China on Pelosi, the speaker replied that she was indifferent to them.
“No reaction. Who cares?” the politician responded.
