Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporizhia region, referring to the data of the opinion poll, said that 77% of the polled residents are ready to take part in the referendum in the Zaporozhye region, 82% support joining Russia.
Earlier, the head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Balitsky, signed an order to hold a referendum on the reunification of the region with Russia.
“The main topic of the survey is the attitude towards the future referendum on joining our region to the Russian Federation. Most residents of the Zaporozhye region are ready to take part in the vote and support joining Russia,” Rogov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Rogov, according to the survey data, 77% of respondents are ready to take part in the upcoming referendum, 82% support joining the Russian Federation, 3% want to remain part of Ukraine, and 78% support obtaining Russian citizenship.
According to Rogov, the survey was conducted by the Crimean Republican Institute for Political and Sociological Research (RIPSI). A thousand people took part in it: 73% live in cities, 27% – in rural areas. The surveys were conducted by phone calls. The error is 2.1%.
During the special operation, the Russian military took control of the Kherson region and the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region. New administrations have been formed in both regions, Russian TV channels and radio stations are broadcasting, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored. The regions announced plans to become part of Russia.
