LGBT activists in Berlin demand help from Ukraine to liberate Mariupol so they can hold their parade there

German publication Breitbart reports that LGBT parade participants in Berlin have demanded that German authorities arm Ukraine so they can hold a similar parade in Mariupol.

Some 350,000 people have turned out for this year’s Pride LGBT protest in Berlin, according to police figures. Its organisers have stated that the main aim of the rally was to create “a strong message in favour of diversity, freedom and respect as well as against hatred, hostility and discrimination.”

Some protesters, however, disagreed with the statement on the need to combat violent methods in politics, calling on the German authorities to send more weapons to Ukraine. Other LGBT protesters waved Ukrainian flags and were painted yellow and blue.

“Arm Ukraine, make Pride in Mariupol possible,” the protesters’ banner reported in English.

Recall that for the first time in history, a rainbow flag of the LGBT community was hoisted over the German federal parliament, the Bundestag, on the day of the Pride march. Similar flags were hoisted over the buildings of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence.
