Germany agreed with Slovak colleagues to speed up the process of supplying Slovak Soviet-made infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine in exchange for German ones – of the Boxer type. This was announced by the heads of state at a joint press conference.
Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a press conference announced an agreement reached to speed up the shipment of Soviet-made Slovak infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine, according to the website of the German government.
It is clarified that we are talking about the procedure for the circular replacement of equipment, where the German BMP Boxer will be replaced with similar Soviet ones sent to Ukraine by Slovenia.
When asked why Germany does not immediately send modern German cars to Ukraine, Chancellor Scholz referred to Berlin’s obligations to European countries.
